Privacy Policy

Version 2026-06-18

Effective date: June 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Extinguisher Scanner handles local inspection data, account identity, subscriptions, and limited app usage analytics.

Local Data Storage

Extinguisher Scanner stores inspection workflow data locally on your device. Cloud sync, shared company workspaces, and team management features are not currently included.

Local data may include customer and location data, inspection records, extinguisher details, technician names, company profile data, workflow preferences, photos, OCR text, report history, and backup metadata.

Local inspection data may leave your device when you choose to export a report, share a backup, attach a file to a support request, or use device-level backup or sharing features outside the app.

Account Identity

Extinguisher Scanner uses Supabase Auth for account creation, sign-in, password recovery, and account identity.

Account data may include your email address, authentication identifiers, sign-in metadata, and related security information needed to operate account access.

Account sign-in does not currently sync inspection records, photos, customer data, or reports across devices.

Subscriptions

Extinguisher Scanner Pro is an iOS subscription managed through Apple and RevenueCat.

Apple manages App Store billing, free trial availability, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. RevenueCat helps verify subscription status and manage access to paid app features.

Subscription processing may involve purchase status, product information, entitlement status, app account identifiers, device or App Store transaction identifiers, and related subscription metadata. This information is used to provide and support paid access.

Photos and Inspection Records

If you capture or attach photos, those photos may be stored on the device and referenced by inspection records or reports.

Inspection records and generated reports are based on information entered, scanned, selected, confirmed, or edited by the user.

Analytics and App Usage Data

We may collect limited, non-sensitive app usage data to help improve the app, such as whether an inspection was started or completed, whether a scan succeeded, which app features are used, and general workflow timing.

We do not collect serial numbers, customer names, location descriptions, inspection notes, photos, raw OCR text, or other customer-sensitive inspection content for analytics purposes.

At this stage, analytics is used only for development and testing and does not send data to third-party analytics providers.

Cloud Sync and Team Features

Cloud sync, shared company workspaces, and team management features are not currently included in Extinguisher Scanner.

If cloud sync or team features are added later, we will update this Privacy Policy before those features are used to explain what information is collected, where it is processed, and what controls are available.

User Responsibility for Customer Data

You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed to enter, scan, store, export, share, or back up customer information, location information, inspection records, photos, technician names, and company profile data.

You are also responsible for reviewing exported reports and backups before sharing them outside your company.
